Priya Shah
Priya Shah is an experienced PR professional with over seven years of experience in the field of communications. She started her career as an Episode Producer with the reputed Indian news network, Times Now. After her stint in journalism, Priya joined Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA) where she made her foray into public relations and corporate communication. As the Assistant Manager, Marketing & Communications, Priya managed all the internal and external communications for the school which included media relations, employee communication, social media marketing and corporate communication.
In 2011, Priya moved to New York to pursue her Master’s in Public Relations and Corporate Communication from New York University. While in New York, Priya worked with the International Rescue Committee’s media relations team and M&C Saatchi’s PR team. In 2013, she moved to Los Angeles and joined Zeno Group’s consumer marketing team. At M&C Saatchi and Zeno, Priya got to work on PR campaigns and media outreach for some big brands such as Reebok, Rockport, UGG for Men, US Olympic Committee, Sears, El Pollo Loco, Starbucks (Evolution Fresh), Pinkberry, Quaker Oats and Coca-Cola. With her latest venture, Open Door Communications, Priya hopes to serve small and medium sized businesses with their communication needs.
Priya also holds a Master’s degree in English Literature from Gujarat University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism from Xavier Institute of Communication, Mumbai.
